Blank music team rota, May thru July 2019

This is a printable music-team roster for May to July 2019, based on the Roman Catholic lectionary. It has:
  • One row for each Sunday in this period, labelled with the corresponding feast from the Irish liturgical calendar.
  • Extra rows for any non-Sunday feast days when churches in Ireland are likely to have music.
(Review this against your own country's liturgical calendar, to remove Irish-specific feasts, and add your own.)
    • Two columns with the dates and names of the feast or liturgical calendar day.
    • Three columns for your use.  These are labelled Co-ordinator, Musician(s), Audio-visual.  But you should change them to suit your local needs (eg you may haveChoir Cantor, Animator, Organist, Worship Leader, etc)

Things to note in this time period

These three months are relatively a quiet time of year liturgically.
    • Ascension, Pentcost, Trinity and the Body and Blood of Christ - all in quick succession in late May / early June, after the Easter-season ends.
    • The vaious optional feast days (St John the Baptist, Peter and Paul) don't occur on a Sunday this year.

    Why this three month period

Planning in these three month periods matches both the liturgical and secular seasons :
    • Feb - Mar - April (includes Lent and Easter)
    • May - Jun - Jul (spring / summer in Europe, winter in the southern hemisphere)
    • Aug - Sept - Oct (Back-to-school = start of a new year in Europe)
    • Nov - Dec - Jan (New Year and summer-holidays in the south, people get together in late January to plan for the rest of the year).

If this combination doesn't suit your church, then it may be better to use the blank music roster template.

The next version, for August through to October will be available in mid July.  Please leave a comment below if you have requests about what else it should include.
