Hymns for Remembrance Day services generally focus on God as protector in time of death and war, or on themes of peace-making.The most commonly used free-use hymns at Remembrance Day commemoration services are:

- I Vow to Thee My Country (arranged Gustav Holst died in 1934, so this may not yet be public domain in all countries)
