Hymn ideas for the 2nd Sunday after Epiphany, Year C - Revised Common Lectionary

A selection of hymns and songs, based on themes from the Revised Common lectionary for the 2nd Sunday after Epiphany, Year C.

Most are free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free) meaning the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing.  Many such hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles / genres are included.  A small selection of hymns that are still be copyright may also included where they are a particularly good fit for the theme(s).

Readings

First: Isaiah 62: 1-5 - The bridegroom rejoices in his bride.

Psalm: Psalm 95 - Proclaim the wonders of the Lord among all peoples / O sing a new song to the Lord / Proclaim his help day by day / Worship the Lord in his temple

Second: I Corinthians 12:1-11 - There is a variety of gifts but always the one spirit - the same spirit working in all.

Gospel: John 2:1-11 - The wedding at Cana - my time has not yet come - do whatever he tells you - the first of the signs given by Jesus - he let his glory be seen.


Themes

God loves the Church, lavishes gifts of the Spirit and will transform the Church.
Worshiping God's glory.
Bride and groom.
