Glory to God, ICEL-1973

This is the version of the "Glory to God" from the ICEL-1973 English translation of the Roman Catholic Mass.

There are many different musical settings of this prayer.   If you are using an arrangement that follows the exact phrasing from the translation, you can use this slide.

It may be wise to change it so that the display title reflects the name that the arrangement is known by in your church (eg "Gloria - New People's Mass") - this helps your congregation to get to know the different versions in your repertoire.

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father,
  we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us;
You are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God and Father. Amen
