Most are free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free), meaning that the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing - sometimes in a limited setting. Many of these hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles and genres are included.
A small selection of particularly appropriate hymns which are still copyright may also be included.
Suggestions about hymns that could be included are welcome: leave a message in the Comments box at the bottom of the page.
Readings
First: Acts 16:9-15 - Paul responds to a vision asking him to travel to Macedonia and help the believers there to proclaim the good news. He meets Lydia, a worshiper of God and a dealer in purple cloth. The Lord opens her heart and Paul baptizes her and her household. She offers the party accommodation.Psalm: 66 - Let all the peoples praise you O God / May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us
Second: Revelation 21: 10, 22 - 22:5 - John is shown a vision of the holy city, which is lit by the radiant glory of God. Nothing unclean will enter it. The river of life flows, God's servants see his face.
Gospel: John 14: 23-29 - Jesus said "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word ... I have said these things, but the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send will teach and remind you. My peace I bequeath to you - I am going away.
