Hymn suggestions for the 9th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C

A selection of free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free) hymns and songs, based on themes from the Roman Catholic lectionary for the 9th Sunday of Ordinary Time in Year C.

"Free-to-use" means the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing - sometimes in a limited setting.

Many such hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles and genres are included.

Suggestions about hymns that could be included are welcome: leave a comment below, or email editor@LiturgyTools.net

First: Kings - Solomon tells the people to welcome foreigners who come in the Lord's name.

Psalm: 116 - Go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News / O praise the Lord / strong is his love for us.

Second: Galatians - Paul exhorts the churches of Galatia to be faithful to the Good News as Jesus preached it, and to condemn those preaching a different message.

Gospel:   Luke - Jesus heals the Roman centurion's son.

Faith.   The Good News that Christ and the Church are for all people - God's love is not private.
