Most are free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free), so the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing. Many such hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles / genres are included.
A small selection of hymns which are still copyright may also be included, if they are particularly relevant.
Readings
First: Acts 2:14, 36-41 - Peter preached: God made this Jesus who you crucified both Lord and King - what must we do? - You must repent and be baptised in Jesus name .. that very day, about three thousand were added to their number.Psalm: 23 - The Lord is my shepherd / he guides me along the right path / You have prepared a banquet for me / Surely goodness and kindness.
Second: I Peter 2:20-25 - Merit in the sight of God is bearing punishment patiently ... now you have have come back to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.
Gospel: John 10: 1-10 - Jesus said "I am the gate of the sheepfold, anyone who enters through me will be safe .. I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.
