Hymns for the 4th Sunday of Easter, Year A (26 April 2026) - Catholic lectionary

Hymns and songs, based on the Roman Catholic lectionary for the 4th Sunday of Easter, Year A.

Most are free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free), so the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing. Many such hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles / genres are included.

A small selection of hymns which are still copyright may also be included, if they are particularly relevant.

Second: I Peter 2:20-25 - Merit in the sight of God is bearing punishment patiently ... now you have have come back to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.

Gospel: John 10: 1-10 - Jesus said "I am the gate of the sheepfold, anyone who enters through me will be safe .. I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.
