Readings
First: Isaiahn 55: 10-11 - As the rain waters the earth making it yield seed and bread, so the word that goes from my mouth does not return to me empty.Psalm 64 - Some seed fell into rich soil and produced its crop / You care for the earth, give it water / And thus you provide for the earth / You crown the year with your goodness / The hills are girded with joy.
Second: Romans 8: 18-23 - From the beginning till now the entire creation has been groaning in one great act of giving birth and not only creation but all who posesss the first fruits of the Spirit.
Gospel: Matthew 13: 1-23 - The parable of the sower .. for anyone who has will be given more ... happy are your ears because they hear ... the one who received the Word in rich soil understands - he is the one who yields a harvest and produces a hundredfold.
