Many are free-to-use (ie public domain or copyright-free) so the words can be copied and sung to at least one tune with no concerns about copyright or performance licensing - sometimes in a limited setting. Many of these hymns are old / traditional - but where possible a variety of styles and genres are listed. A small selection of hymns which are still copyright may also be included if they are particularly appropriate.

Readings
First: Isaiah 22: 19-23 - The prophet delivers God's message that he will give earthly authority ... to one who shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Second: Romans 11: 33-36 - Paul reflects on the depths of God and asks “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counsellor?”
