Many such hymns are old/traditional - but where possible a variety of styles and genres are included. Readings
First: 2 Kings 5:1-14 - A warrior, Naaman, suffered from leprosy. He heard there was a prophet in Samaria who may cure him. The king sent him to the king of Israel, with a referral letter and payments. The king of Israel thought it was an attempt to pick a quarrel. But Elisha, the man of God, said "Let him come to me, that he may learn that there is a prophet in Israel." Naaman went to Elisha who said "Go, wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean." Naaman was convinced him to try. He immersed himself seven times in the Jordan, his flesh was restored and he was clean.OR
Isaiah 66:10-14 - Rejoice Jerusalem ... now I send flowing peace like a river ... to his servants the Lord will reveal his hand.

Second: Galatians 6: (1-6), 7-16 - Paul teaches the community about how they should live : if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted. Bear one another's burdens ... If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit ... "May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world"
