First:
Genesis 18:1-15, (21:1-7)   The Lord visits Abraham and Sarah:  a feast is prepared and shared.  The visitor says that Sarah will have a son:  she laughs in disbelief, because of her age.  But the Lord made it possible:  she conceived and bore Isaac when Abraham was 100 years old. ...  Sarah said, "God has brought laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me."
OR
Exodus 19:2-8a - The Israelites camped in the wilderness facing the mountain.  Moses went up to God, and God said "If you obey my voice and keep my covenant, you of all the nations shall be my very own, for all the earth is mine".

Psalm 99 - We are his people the sheep of his flock / Cry out with joy to the Lord all the earth / How that he, the Lord is God / Indeed how good is the Lord.

Second: Romans 5:1-8  - What proves that God loves us is that Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Gospel: Matthew 9:36 - 10:8 - Jesus sends the apostles out to the lost sheep of the House of Israel, to proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is close at hand, and to cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers and cast out devils.
